What grading does
Grading takes your approved base pattern and creates each additional size, following your size chart or a size specification we agree on together.
Why it matters
Careful grading keeps a style looking the same from the smallest size to the largest. Pockets, collars and proportions move with the size instead of drifting.
Before we grade
We work from a pattern whose fit you have approved, ideally after a sample. If the base still needs work, we can adjust it first.

I don't have a size chart. Can you still grade?
Yes. We agree a size specification with you before grading starts.
Can you grade a pattern someone else drafted?
Yes. We check the base pattern first, because any fit problem would repeat in every size.
What usually comes after grading?
Marker making, so your factory can cut the full size run.
